Well, I did my first day of running. It felt so GOOD to get out there again. I did 1/2 mile jog, walk for a bit (I didn't really measure, but it was less than a 1/2 mile), 1/2 mile jog, walk for a bit, jog for .4 miles (I know this distance, b/c I measured it with my car!)
Now, normally if someone is following the program, today is an off day, but I will probably run again today. My training schedule will be to run/jog at least 3 days a week, with my ideal week being running 4-5 days. And my workouts will be:
Week 1: jog 1/2 mile (continuous), walk for a bit (repeat)
Week 2: jog 3/4 mile (continuous), walk for a bit (repeat)
Week 3: jog 1 mile (continuous), walk for a bit (repeat)
Week 4: jog 1 1/4 miles, walk for a bit (repeat)
Week 5: jog 1 1/2 miles, walk (repeat)
Week 6: jog 1 3/4 miles, walk (repeat)
Week 7: jog 2 miles, walk (repeat)
Week 8: job 2 1/4 miles, walk (repeat)
(You get the point, I hope!)
So I will continue to keep you all updated on my progress!

The start of my journey
This is the start of my journey to run a 5K. I know I know, I've been telling everyone that I am going to run one for like 4 years, but really I am. Honestly, it will be after we move to VA and get settled, but darn it, if it kills me, I'm going to do it.
So, with that said, today after work, I will be doing my first "official" run of my training. I've been working out and jogging off and on for awhile now, but never really focused on a goal. So that is my goal! I'll post my before pics, and if I can find a pic of what my goal weight and body composition is, I'll post that.
I'm going to sort of follow the "Couch-to-5K" program, which I do feel is a great program. But I do have a little more experience, b/c of running in high school and my first year of college (on the track teams). So wish me luck! (and thanks for reading my blog!)
